When your values are clear to you, making decisions becomes easier.

Quote attributed to Roy E. Disney

Have you ever been confused on which decision to take when faced with a complicated issue?  We all face situations that challenge our ethics.  We want to do the right thing, but it isn’t always clear what the right thing is.

I was recently contacted by the Bulldog Drummond website to author a piece for their Uncommon Sense Principles series blog.  This series takes a look at challenging issues where a little common sense will make your life simpler and richer.  Most of the posts are authored by the Organization, but occasionally outside authors are recruited to share their thinking.

The post i authored is entitled “Leading a Values-Based Life”.  It describes a process for defining your guiding principles and using them to help you make tough life (or work) decisions.  The process is one taught to me by a mentor and it had a profound impact on my life.

Obviously, I’d love for you to read the post and share your thoughts.  There is no place on the Bulldog Drummond site to do this, so please comment here.  Several of my LinkedIn contacts have reached out to me directly after reading the post and the feedback to date has been positive.  But, your perspective is important to me so please share it.

I look forward to hearing from you.  And hopefully I will be asked to contribute to the Bulldog Drummond blog again.  In addition to the “Leading a Values-Based Life” post, I previously authored “Brands Can Be A Love Affair” and “The American Dream” for the blog.
